Weekly Channel Summary

The Cryptocurrency ETF channel, comprising 85 funds from 23 issuers, ended the week with total assets under management of $93.19 billion. The channel experienced modest net inflows of $116 million over the past five days, a slight positive turn. However, this recent gain does little to offset the significant year-to-date outflows, which currently stand at -$6.0 billion. Over a one-year period, the channel has accumulated a more substantial $7.17 billion in net new assets.

This Week’s Performance Leaders and Laggards

Ethereum-focused ETFs led performance this week, posting a collective gain of 2.83% and reversing some recent negative trends. Bitcoin and Multicoin funds were nearly flat, rising 0.33% and 0.34% respectively. In contrast, Altcoin ETFs were the notable laggards, declining by -2.96% for the week. Despite the weekly gains for some categories, all groups remain deeply in the red year-to-date, with losses ranging from -26.85% for Bitcoin to -39.12% for Altcoins.

Among individual funds, the VolatilityShares Chainlink ETF (CHNL) was the standout performer, climbing 6.59% for the week. Several other Chainlink-focused products also posted strong returns. At the other end of the spectrum, the 21Shares Hyperliquid ETF (THYP) registered the steepest decline, falling -10.68%. This was closely followed by other Hyperliquid-tracking funds which also experienced double-digit percentage losses.
