Initial jobless claims came in at 1.480 million, less than last week's 1.540 million (which saw small upward revisions). This is 100K more than the consensus estimate of 1.380 million but the 12th consecutive weekly decline.  The 4-week moving average is now down to 1.621 million but still well above historical averages. 

Over the last 14 reports there have been over 46 million total inital claims.  States showing the largest increases (week ending June 13) were Texas, Oklahoma, and New Jersey while the largest decreases wer in Florida, Maryland, and Massachusetts.
